Can’t believe we made it to mid-January before getting ANY measurable snow here in central Iowa! MX Adventures - Supercross Racers go Pink

{jvideo id=254 height=378 width=660 autoPlay=0}

Supercross will undergo a 'Pink' transformation this weekend in Anaheim to show their support and help promote Breast Cancer Awareness, including contributions to the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Orange County.

Expect to see a lot of masculine Supercross guys wearing pink riding gear, or somehow sporting the color to show their support for this great cause. Also it is a Valentines weekend, so many of the guys are getting all kinds of lady love ...

2012 AMA Supercross Series - New Orleans Preview

This weekend the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Series heads down to the Bayou and New Orleans for the 14th event of the 17 round series. Although defending champion Ryan Villpoto wrapped up the title at Round 13 in Houston two weeks ago, the two-time SX champ still has every intention of bringing his ?A? game to the remaining four rounds. The #1 red plate holder will certainly be the favorite to take home another victory, but there are several riders who still have a role to play in the points chase.

Ryan Dungey has not raced since St. Louis, but he remains in second place the championship, just one point ahead of Davi Millsaps, who has been having an excellent second half of the indoor season. Millsaps could easily take over second place this weekend if Dungey does not show up to race.

So Why Shift To Data Processing Software

Most people have gradually of time dreamed about having each of our business. Using a optimistic go here thinking procedure, this can be seen as less than from a disadvantage but more being a trade-off. Those who contain bad experience having any accounting software will get wonderful software in this article. In order for ones software to function properly your hard drive will need so that you can handle all within the applications contained therein. You are only recommended to pay a one-time fee for ones software or pay a smaller rent and preservation fee to avail of your software. The accounting software package records and systems the accounting transactions which are well ensconced during the functional modules such as account payable, account receivable, payroll and balance. Windows forms should be used for personal computer clients and word wide web forms are meant for web apps.

Medium machine enterprise businesses usage accounting software allowing for multiple currencies and various regulation options. More rather than 3 million minor companies use such computer programs as Tally, QuickBooks, MYOB, or Peachtree Accomplish Accounting. Most provide a possibility of tailoring your invoices on your desired appearance. RJ Says: Phoenix Supercross 2012 thoughts, Los Angeles Supercross preview

First off, I want to congratulate KTM, Roger De Coster, and Ryan Dungey for KTM's first Supercross Class main event win. It's huge. I know of all the work they have done in the past few years in developing winning machines, teams, and more. Look at what they did with Stefan Everts and Pit Beirer in developing the 350 SX model - two world championships so far with Antonio Cairoli.

KTM in America has been working on the new 450 that Ryan races. It's a new effort, on a new bike. For Ryan Dungey, his win last Saturday in Phoenix goes a long way in many areas, but I feel the most important is that it adds confidence to the team and Ryan.

MX Adventures: Leaving the West Coast ... talking with Kevin Windham

{jvideo id=259 height=378 width=660 autoPlay=0}

Who dat?

This week I caught up with Kevin Windham. In the video below, Kevin Windham talks about the Superbowl Champions, the NFL's New Orleans Saints, his family, his future plans for racing and beyond.

The Superbowl XLIV champions, the New Orleans Saints, have many fans - among them is none other than the number 14 in Supercross, Kevin Windham. While the NFL season started when Supercross was in its off season, Kevin was able to take part in season tickets to his favorite NFL team - da' Saints. Eventually the 2010 Supercross season got underway in January, which meant Kevin was flying off after those Saturday night Main Events back East to watch the New Orleans Saints Playoff games.

On February 7, 2010 the New Orleans Saints headed to the Superbowl in Miami, Florida and Kevin Windham and his wife Dottie made arrangements to attend this momentous occasion. First, however Kevin had to finish up a Supercross race in San Diego the night before.

DC Moto TF Day with Ryan Morais

Ryan Morais' goal for a 2010 West Coast Lites Supercross championship came to a screeching halt in just the 3rd round of the series, when another racer landed on the back on his bike, sending both riders crashing to the ground. This unfortunate crash would sideline Ryan for a few rounds, but he would eventually return to racing action in Seattle and finish the season 10th overall points. When the AMA Motocross Nationals came into around, Ryan was ready to get back to racing, but going into the second round he was once again out with an injury. Ryan has been busy the past few months, but is back and ready to set some new goals for the upcoming 2011 series. I spoke with Ryan about what he learned over the past year and his prospects for the new season.

Angela: Well Ryan, here we are just a few short weeks until the first Supercross race of the season; let's talk about sponsors and the bike?

Ryan: Yeah, DC Shoes stepped up recently and is sponsoring the entire Rockstar Energy Suzuki Team, so I am really excited to be a part of it. I have only been with this sponsor for a few days now and they're really taken care of the team. I'm with the same team as last year, Rockstar Energy Suzuki, with the same mechanic (Rene Zapata), and the same team manager, and owner, everything is pretty much the same, but Suzuki really is stepping up this year. Last year we were on a 2009 carburetor bike, so we were kind of behind the ball, but this year we are on the new 2011 fuel injected, the whole new chassis and everything, and Suzuki has really helped us out with factory support. Our bikes are pretty much in house bikes, running Shoei Suspension, so everything is looking great. Everyone has been doing a great job and the people at Yoshimura have been doing a lot of testing and getting our bikes dialed in, so I'm excited for Anaheim 1. Our bike should be one of the best ones out there, making things really competitive, and that is very cool.

DC Moto TF Ride Day with Josh Hill

In the 2010 AMA Supercross Championship series, Josh Hill consistently found himself on the podium. His practice session went from 'landing a backflip on his first attempt' to 'under rotating the next time around.' This horrific crash sent Josh to the hospital with a list of injuries and a whole new respect for the sport of Freestyle Motocross. I caught up with Josh, at Pala Raceway for the DC Moto TF Ride day, where he talked about his rehabilitation, his plans for Supercross 2011, and more!

MX Adventures

A Supercross is usually filled with its share of dramatic moments. From the jump off the gate to those first turn pile ups, all the way to that finish and everything in between, the action at Supercross is always nonstop.

The 2010 Phoenix Supercross had more dramatic moments than your normal race. However it was in those days that followed that the drama grew with various opinions that were blasted across message boards and blogs. I certainly appreciated the hot topics brought to the surface by the many people who love the sport of Supercross. And like you I have my own thoughts on the James Stewart and Chad Reed 'incident' ...

It was just one year ago when a controversy made headlines with Jason Lawrence, Josh Hansen and Steve Boniface were 'fighting'.

The backlash for those guys were met by AMA officials. Last year the Rules stated that the following offense is subject to disciplinary action:

An attack on a Racing official and/or engaging in a fight. This includes any person who attacks or is involved in a fight anywhere on the premises prior to, during, or after an AMA Supercross meet. There will be no maximum fine or suspension period for this offense.

My point here is that Supercross is no stranger to its share of drama but in the aftermath of last year, and now Phoenix, what does it take to show some true sportsmanship and character in tough occupation?

James commented thru his blog initially. Info on Chad Reed came thru Kawasaki and Monster Energy Kawasaki Team Manager Mike Fisher stated that Chad would not return to racing until he is 100 percent. Chad is expected to miss a minimum of six weeks to heal his broken left hand. Six to seven weeks puts us near the Daytona Supercross and by then there will still be eight races left on the schedule.

Kevin Windham out for remainder of Supercross season

GEICO Honda rider Kevin Windham will miss the rest of the Supercross season after suffering several injuries during a crash Saturday in Houston.

Attempting to qualify for the Main event, Windham was in a pitched battle with James Stewart during a Heat race when he came off his CRF450 at a high rate of speed. As a result of the accident, Windham dislocated his right shoulder and sustained damage to his left wrist, left thumb and right hip.

"I've definitely got a dislocated shoulder so that ends my season right there," Windham said. "I've had my wrist examined by two doctors; one said it was broken and the other one said it's not. It's very swollen and black and blue so it's hard for them to tell. I'm going to see another specialist (Tuesday) and have an MRI done to see exactly what's up. We just need get it fixed properly.

"I can't move my left thumb at all and my hip hurts. I'm not really sure what's going on with either of them at the moment. I'm basically hurting all over."

The 34-year-old Windham, the oldest competitor on tour, was having another solid season before his accident. He has two podium finishes to his credit and had been a part of the top five all year.

RJ Says - Speed or Consistency?

After the Anaheim II Supercross, it?s looking like a four man race for the coveted title of 2012 AMA Supercross Series Champion.

With everybody still healthy and strong, this is shaping up to be one of the most competitive years in Supercross ever. Most seasons in the past the title has come down to one or two guys - but right now there is a major the contrast in the consistency of Chad Reed and Ryan Dungey versus the brutal speed of Ryan Villopoto and James Stewart.

RJ Says - Supercross Safety 2012

Anyone who saw what happened with Trey Canard and Ryan Morais at Dodger Stadium Saturday night knows that it was a horrendous crash. Nobody likes to see that. Unfortunately that?s part of our sport, and crashes do happen.

I?ve heard opinions from everybody about how it could have been prevented. What it comes down to is that two guys were trying to occupy the same space at the same time and wound up going down very hard. It was a scary crash - it affected a lot of people in addition to the two riders.

What I would like to talk about is how Feld Motorsports, the AMA, track personnel, and the Asterisk medical crew handled the whole situation.

WMX Rider Insight: Sayaka Kaneshiro

At the 13th annual 'A Day in the Dirt' I got a chance to talk with Sayaka "Teriyaki Sauce" Kaneshiro, WMX Pro #15

How was your racing today?

It was good, I thought we had a practice first, I went out and it was actually a race. I was just racing and riding around, I felt like ... WOW!

What did you think of the event overall?

It was to difficult racing for me, because I didn't ride my pace. I rode about 6th place, less than I wanted to. I got the same number as last year, I just tried to do my best.

When I first started riding big bikes, I was so stoked to finally have all of the power I wanted. However, with great power, comes great responsibility?courtesy of Uncle Ben from Spiderman. Sometimes, we can get ahead of ourselves on a rougher track and the braking bumps fight back. Most of the time, the chop [...]

2nd Annual DC Moto TF Ride Day and Invitational Poker Tournament

Supercross 2011 is right around the corner! So much is going on, both publicly, but also behind the scenes. One public and noteworthy item - DC Shoes has a new three year contract with Monster Energy Supercross!

Adam Cianciarulo

I was invited to the 2nd Annual DC Moto TF Ride Day and Invitational Poker Tournament at Pala Raceway. It was a full day's 'work' for the DC Athletes; group photos, action shots, interviews, and lots of MX riding at Pala. And there was good game of Poker to raise money for Road 2 Recovery. The list of Athletes sponsored by the DC Shoes brand is a very impressive group making this Supercross assignment unique fun for me!

RJ Says: 100% is Back!

100%? It is how I try to live my life.

In 1982, I got a phone call from a guy I knew at the races. His name was Drew Lien. The conversation went like this:

Drew: I dig your bull dog style and never give up attitude. I'm starting a company and would love to sponsor you. I can't pay you right now, but I will give you all the free product you can have.

Me: Whats it called?

Drew: 100%

Me: What will you sell?

Drew: Heat shields and numbers.

Me: I'm in...

A few months later, all the top racers ran 100%: Bailey, O'mara, Ward, Glover, Lechien, Kehoe, Holley, and the list goes on.

From that point on 100% has been my life motto. I am giving 100% in whatever I do. Truck racing, coaching, working or loving my family. Win or lose. Happy or sad.

If I am giving 100%, I can go to sleep KNOWING I have done my best.

Drew has past, but his dream lives on. He was a special person with a big dream. God Speed my friend.

HOW MUCH EFFORT DO YOU GIVE?

Ricky Johnson

Anyone who saw what happened with Trey Canard and Ryan Morais at Dodger Stadium Saturday night knows that it was a horrendous crash. Nobody likes to see that. Unfortunately that?s part of our sport, and crashes do happen.

Supercross 2011: Kyle Regal discusses move to L & M Racing Yamaha

Moving up from the Lites class to the full time 17 rounds in the premier 450 Supercross class is a big step for any racer. Making it a double whammy, Kyle Regal is also going from Privateer Status to a full Factory Sam Manuel L & M Yamaha ride.

Kyle rode a few 450 Supercross rounds last season, when he wasn?t racing in the Supercross East Coast Lites, but it was this summer Kyle really gained momentum on the 450, finishing ninth in the series final standings.

WMX Rider Insight: Vicki Golden's 2010 Season Review

When Vicki Golden turned pro in 2009, she went into the season open minded; she just wanted to see how she'd do in the Pros. It worked out pretty well for Vicki as she consistently finished in the top 4 in the first 5 rounds of the 2009 WMX season. After a season ending injury to Trey Canard, Geico Honda gave Vicki an opportunity to ride Trey's bike the remainder of the season of the Women's Motocross Series. It was a great experience as she finished 4th in Colorado, but her season ended prematurely as she injured herself in a practice session at Perris Raceway before the 6th round in Washougal.

In 2010 Vicki came back healthy and was picked up by Moto Concepts Yamaha. She wasn?t as consistent as she expected, but she did finish the season 4th overall points, with a 3rd place finish at the Pala Raceway National. In 2011 she will be running the #4 plate in the AMA Women's Motocross Series.

Vicki got back from Geneva, Switzerland a few weeks ago where she participated in a women?s supercross exhibition race with some pretty stiff competition.

James Stewart Injury Update, courtesy JGR MX

Two time former AMA Supercross Champion, and former AMA Motocross Champion James Stewart will not race round 12 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship this Saturday at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, ON, Canada.

James, who suffered a crash at last weekend?s event in Indianapolis has been thoroughly examined by his medical team and the determination has been made that he is not yet ready to return to racing.

"Unfortunately injury is a part of sports,? said team JGR MX owner Coy Gibbs. "The safety of our riders is our highest priority and we want James to have time to recover and not risk further injury by coming back too soon."

RJ Says - 2012 Anaheim 1 Supercross, Phoenix Supercross preview

Rick Johnson is a seven time AMA Motocross / Supercross Champion. 1984, '86, '88 AMA 250 National MX Champion. 1987, '88 500cc National Motocross Champion. 1986, '88 AMA Supercross Series Champion.

The first race of the 2012 season has come and gone. I'll share with you my opinion on the top guys in the 450 class, the 250 West winner, and what I'd work on if I was racing in Phoenix Round 2.

Ryan Villopoto - I feel Ryan came ready to race. He picked up right where he left off last year. He looks better than I anticipated, as I thought he might come in a bit over confident. If you judge it by this first race, he's in a class by himself.

Hope the video gives you a little insight into off-road truck racing, and that you enjoy it. It's a very well produced video.
